Obituary of Tiernan P O'Rourke

O' R O U R K E Tiernan P. on March 29, 2019. Son of Dorothy O'Rourke (nee Manderson), the late John O'Rourke.Beloved Brother of Jack O'Rourke (Bernadette), Marty O'Rourke (Denise), Edmund O'Rourke, Helena O'Rourke Griffin (Casey), Dottie O'Rourke Matkowski (Joe) and Tom O'Rourke (Anna). Also survived by 13 Nieces and Nephews, 1 Great Niece and many loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He liked the outdoors and was a deer hunter, deep sea fisherman, Big Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers fan. He mostly liked spending time with the family at Moms shorehouse, He also enjoyed Quizzo and game nights at the bar with his friends. He was one of the legends of Chalfont playground in the eighties. Irish weekend was a favorite for him and taking trips to see the Philly sports teams. He was a big kind hearted guy that never asked for anything and would always lend a hand to all. He had a smile that would light up a room and did so whenever he was around. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough that knew him. He will always keep us smiling when we think of him, because thats just who Tuna was to all of us. Tiernan was 25+ year employee at Acme Market, a member of Local - 152 UFCW and a committee man for Ward 66 in Philadelphia. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday Evening April 4th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Friday Morning April 5th from 9:30 AM-10:30 Am at Our Lady of Calvary Church 11024 Knights Rd. Phila., PA 19154. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 AM. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Pennsylvania SPCA 350 E. Erie Ave. Phila., PA 19134 would be appreciated.
